PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) titanium coating is a common surface treatment technique used for stainless steel cutlery. This technique gives the silver stainless steel cutlery a beautiful color without losing its metal-reflect performance. Such as gold, champagne gold, rose gold, black, blue, and purple, these are the colors that PVD coating could achieve. For importers, wholesalers, and entrepreneurs looking to build a unique brand, PVD-treated cutlery offers an excellent, accessible way to achieve product differentiation. The diverse color options can be tailored to align with specific brand positioning and market preferences.
As a professional manufacturer of stainless steel flat cutlery, we place great emphasis on every stage of the PVD coating process. We are very care about details. We are eager to offering high-quality, PVD-coated stainless steel cutlery for our business partners.

Before the actual PVD coating process, the finished stainless steel cutlery must be thoroughly cleaned. Even the tiniest dust particle can influence the final PVD result, leading to a failed coating process.
First of all, all manufactured stainless steel cutlery will be put into an initial machine-wash to remove surface stains and dust. Following this, our staff perform a manual wipe-down, every single piece of the stainless steel cutlery is handled with care and cleaned by hand. Once washed and wiped, the items are placed on specialized racks to air-dry. The preparation phase is considered complete only when the entire process—cleaning, wiping, and drying—is finished, leaving the surfaces of the stainless steel cutlery completely clean and there is nothing on the surface to fail the PVD-coating performance.
After the stainless steel cutlery all dried, the racks will be put into a big oven for PVD-coating. In this process, we will precisely control the oven by adjusting various parameters.
The color of the PVD titanium coating is determined by these parameter settings. Environmental factors also play a role. For instance, even with the same parameters, variations in environment temperature or humidity can lead to differences in the final PVD finish.
Our production team pays a lot attention to these details, ensuring that there is minimal variation in the PVD finish across different production batches. Maintaining product consistency is crucial—especially for wholesale orders—and it is a priority we take very seriously.
Once the coating cycle is complete, the products are removed from the chamber and prepared for final handling and packing.

PVD coating is a mature technology. When it comes to coloring stainless steel cutlery, PVD titanium coating offers significant advantages over conventional spray painting.
First, PVD titanium coating is highly safe. It passes various food-grade tests, meets customer requirements for food-contact safety. It is suitable for verification by professional testing agencies. In contrast, with spray painting, one must consider whether the paint used complies with food-grade materials.
Second, the PVD coating layer is extremely durable and does not fade or lose color during daily use. Spray-painted finishes, however, are easy to fading over time and carry a risk of paint chipping during transportation if packaging is inadequate. PVD coatings also vastly outperform spray-painted finishes in dishwasher durability tests.
Therefore, for customers who prioritize product quality, PVD titanium coating technology is a highly beneficial solution.
At previous the Canton Fair, we exhibited an impressive display of PVD-coated cutlery at our booth in the Tableware & Flatware Hall. We have two big shelves all display the colorful PVD cutlery sets. You could compare different performance of the PVD colors, and choose the designs that you think is suitable for a certain color.
For the upcoming 140th Canton Fair, we will once again prepared an extensive selection of PVD-coated items for buyers from around the world to explore. We will also bring our new designs and collections with PVD-coating. We look forward to seeing you there!
