How Garbo's Factory Produces Millions of Stainless Steel Cutlery

Pulished on Jul. 06, 2026

Garbo's factory is located in Jieyang City, Guangdong Province, China. As summer arrives, our employees have changed into their summer olive green work uniforms. The entire workshop is neat and orderly. They are full of energy and are producing high-quality stainless steel flatware for countries and regions such as South America, Europe, and the Middle East.

Begin with the arrival of stainless steel sheet materials

The cutting and cutting process is initiated first. Workers send the entire roll of stainless steel sheet into the CNC shearing machine. You can see that our dozen machines are placed in accordance with the factory inspection standards, ensuring the safety of the workers.

The machines precisely cut according to the set dimensions, with reasonable error control. This process is the starting point of the entire production chain. If the size of the raw material deviates, all subsequent processes will also go wrong. Therefore, before starting the machine, the workers will repeatedly check the size parameters to ensure that the first batch of materials is completely qualified.

Enter the cross-pressing process along the conveyor belt

The large hydraulic machine slowly presses down, and the mold extrudes the initial shape of the fork teeth or spoon head from the flat steel plate. This process tests the mold accuracy and equipment stability. Workers need to constantly observe the changes in the pressure gauge to stop the machine and adjust if the shaping is not up to standard. The semi-finished products produced by cross-pressing already have the basic outline of tableware, but the edges are still rough. They need to be sent to the next station for finishing.

Trimming follows immediately

Workers operate the trimming machine to remove the excess material and burrs from the edge of the semi-finished product, keeping the spacing between the fork teeth consistent and making the arc of the spoon head smooth. The surface of the semi-finished product after trimming has become much smoother, and it can enter the next decorative processing step.

Embossing gives the tableware its individuality

Workers place the trimmed semi-finished product into the embossing mold, and the machine presses out clear textures on the handle at one go, such as bamboo knot patterns, diamond net patterns, or brand letters. Workers will first test the effect with scraps a few times when changing molds to confirm that the result meets the standards before starting mass production.

Shaping- complete the final shape locking

The semi-finished product is sent to the shaping mold. The fork teeth are corrected to be completely straight at this step, and the arc of the spoon head is fixed. After shaping, the quality inspector will randomly inspect each batch of products to check if the dimensions are in line with the drawings, if there are scratches on the surface, and if the edges are smooth. Only qualified tableware will be sent for polishing, cleaning, and packaging.

This is the daily production process repeated by the Garbo factory. The reason why the factory can stand in the industry is not because one process is more advanced, but because each process does not relax its standards. The familiarity of workers with equipment, the maintenance habits of molds, and the intuitive judgment of quality are what make up the real productivity.
